After relocating to Belgium in 1996, he joined the Berlin Ballett Komische Oper in 2001, where he spent three years performing works by acclaimed choreographers such as Rami Beer, Deborah Colker, Amanda Miller, Itzik Galili, Meryl Tankard, and Marguerite Donlon.He went on to dance for Tanzcompagnie Gieen (Germany) , Listopadance (Antwerp) , and the Irene K Company (Eupen) , touring Europe, Latin America, Africa, and Asia. In 2008, he founded his own company, Compagnie Hiroshi Wakamatsu (CHW), creating multidisciplinary performances that blend dance, visuals, and human emotion. His work has been featured in Nuit Blanche Paris and international festivals in France, Belgium, and Italy.As a choreographer and teacher, Hiroshi has led professional classes nation wide. His film Each One Another, which he directed, choreographed, and scored , won multiple awards and was screened at prestigious festivals worldwide.Blending cinematic subtlety with the depth of a dancers body intelligence, Hiroshi Wakamatsu continues to build a powerful, cross-cultural career in the performing arts.
